Legal Advocacy Group Revives Schumer Complaint for Kavanaugh Threat

While Democrat New York Senator Chuck Schumer regularly rails that Trump is breaking laws, it is actually Schumer that just got hit with a complaint.

The National Legal and Policy Center has appealed the earlier dismissal of the complaint it filed after Schumer’s “threatening comments” against Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Reviving the Complaint  

The advocacy group is now claiming that the court system in New York is trying to brush Schumer’s comments “under the rug” simply because of who Schumer is.

If you recall, Schumer’s comments were made during a rally on the steps of the Supreme Court in March, drawing very sharp criticism at the time.

Schumer stated, “I want to tell you, Gorsuch… I want to tell you, Kavanaugh… you have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price.

“You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”

NPLC counsel Paul Kamaner filed an appeal, stating, “Senator Schumer’s threats against Supreme Court Justices cannot be swept under the rug by New York bar authorities just because they were politically controversial.”

“Sadly, it appears that the Bar has abdicated its duty to enforce its ethics rules because Senator Schumer holds high political office.”

Schumer, at the time, defended his tough speak, stating, “I’m from Brooklyn.

“We speak in strong language.

“I shouldn’t have used the words I did, but in no way was I making a threat.”
