London Mayor Sadiq Khan Blasts Trump Prior to State Visit

Muslim London Mayor Sadiq Khan is not exactly in favor of President Trump visiting England.

Khan thinks rolling out the carpet for Trump would be a huge mistake.

Khan stated, “Of course we should have a close relationship with the president of the United States, but we shouldn’t be rolling out the red carpet; we shouldn’t have a state banquet.”

Not in the Same Class

The mayor of London stated there have only been two state visits from the United States and he would like to keep it that way.

He was referring to the 2003 visit by Bush and the 2011 visit by Obama.

Khan further stated, “I think President Trump is certainly not in the same class as those two.”

He has further stated that if Trump is given any state banquet, he would not be attending.

Why So Upset?

We know Khan is upset with President Trump’s travel ban and was very vocal about it when it was first proposed by Trump.

He joined the cries of racism and Islamophobia that reined down on Trump when the ban was first announced.

As Khan was doing that, his own city experienced a rise in terrorist attacks, all but justifying the ban Trump wanted to put in place.

According to Khan, one of the main reasons he despises Trump so much is the way he talked about women.

Khan stated, “The impression is being given that you can get away from it – that you get a get-out-of-jail card.

“But it’s worse than that.

“There’s a boasting and bragging, it’s almost like a green light for others to behave badly.”

Very interesting comments coming from a man whose religion treats dogs better than women.

Trump, for his part, has been just as vocal against Khan, stating that he has done a terrible job as the mayor of London on several occasions.

President Trump and the First Lady will be in London from June 3 to June 5 as part of the D-Day celebration.

Considering the invitation was made at the behest of the Queen, it is unlikely Khan will get his way.
