Manchin Says Infrastructure Bill Must Be Bipartisan

By now, everyone knows Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) is the power broker in the Senate.

As the one true moderate in the party, his vote will dictate success or failure.

Must Be Bipartisan

Very soon, a massive infrastructure bill will start to work its way through Congress.

Unlike the COVID relief bill, Manchin stated that he will not support reconciliation and Republicans must have a say in what is included in the bill.

He stated, “I’m not going to do it through reconciliation.

“I am not going to get on a bill that cuts them out completely before we start.”

Now, I wish I had faith that Manchin would stay true to his word, but he has already failed conservatives when he buckled for the COVID relief package.

He needs to hold the line on this, as the numbers that are getting thrown around are in the neighborhood of $3 trillion.

That will get piled on top of a $28 trillion debt load the country is currently dragging around.

If Democrats are permitted to keep this spending spree going, a recession is very much in our future.
