Mexico Threatens Legal Action Against U.S. After El Paso Shooting

After six Mexican nationals were killed during the El Paso shooting, Mexico is looking for payback.

In a move that will surely hurt relations between the two countries, Mexican leadership announced it is looking to legal actions it can take against the United States for its nationals being killed in the mass shooting.

Terror Attack

It took no time at all for Secretary of Foreign Affairs Marcelo Ebrard to slap a terror label on the El Paso shooting.

He stated the shooting was an act of terrorism against Mexicans here in the states.

Ebrard further stated Mexico will investigate the shooting to see if they are able to request the extradition of Patrick Crusius to Mexico to prosecute him for these murders.

He also made a post on Twitter, stating that Mexico will take whatever actions are possible in accordance with international law.

Secretary Ebrard further stated that his actions were being done by request of Mexican president Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The actions are being taken “so that Mexico can demand that the United States protect the Mexican community in the United States.”

On top of everything else, he implored the United States to pursue more gun control laws.

He further stated that Mexico is going to investigate who was responsible for the sale of the “assault weapons” using the shooting.

Really?

If it were not such a sad time in this country, this statement would almost be comical.

Mexico, a country that is literally run by the Mexican Cartel, has the audacity to threaten the United States like this!

And to even address the issue of gun control laws where pictures are regularly seen from Mexico where criminals have rifles slung over their shoulder walking down the street is nothing less than obscene.

I honestly cannot remember a country being so bold and so insulting in the midst of a national tragedy.

Now may not be the time to address it, but surely Trump will have to send Mexico a shot right across the bow for these ridiculous and disrespectful statements.
