As is usually the case, once one allegation is made, the floodgates open, and that is exactly what his happening to Joe Biden now.
This latest allegation, though, could create significantly more problems for Biden because it involves a then-14-year-old girl.
The Floodgates Are Open
What generally happens when allegations are made against a public official is that people that previously had contact with this person start to scan their memory.
When this happens, sometimes events that seemed like no big deal at the time or a bit creepy but not worth reporting start to surface.
The tale of Eva Murry seems to fit into one of those two categories, if it happened.
Murry stated, “I remember walking into the lobby and being in awe of all the people in such fancy clothes.
“Our two parties of people gravitated towards each other and everyone started saying their hellos.
“When it was Biden and my aunt’s turn to say hello he quickly turned to me and asked how old I was.
“I replied with my age and he replied with the comment ‘Fourteen? You’re very well endowed for 14!’
“I was confused but it was definitely weird, he looked me up and down and hovered his eyes on my chest so I had some clue [about] the notion of his comment but didn’t fully understand at the time.
“We quickly separated from his area after the encounter.”
That interaction allegedly happened in 2008 and her story has already been backed by Murry’s sister and a close friend, both of whom stated they were told about the incident very close after it allegedly happened.
Several other friends of Murry have also since come forward to say she told them about the incident roughly three years between when it happened and when she told them.
Murry is now 26 years old and while she did not file a sexual harassment complaint back then, 2020 is a new day and she felt this alleged incident was worth discussing considering the Reade allegations against Biden.
Murry stated, “I feel his comments were verbal sexual harassment.
“I think I was too naive to realize exactly what it meant at the time but I vividly remember the uncomfortable feeling I had in the pit of my stomach during the whole encounter.
“It wasn’t Biden’s words alone that made me so uncomfortable, it was the look, the tone, the whole general vibe was off.”
Again, considering Joe Biden’s past and his perceived affinity for younger women, is this really beyond something he would do?
Also, remember we are talking about 2008, long before the #MeToo movement, when politicians, sports stars, and celebrities were far bolder and less discreet than they are today. Nor were they ever held accountable.
Unless this claim is fully investigated, we may never know if this is a scam or factual incident. Regardless, though, all these allegations are going to start to impact Biden’s electability with women.
Updated 5.3.2020 (2:11pm) – The organized of the event mentioned above where the alleged harassment took place has come forward to say Joe Biden did NOT attend the event, therefore, the allegation made by Murry is untrue. The story was published on Fox News.
