Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) says the House is doing their job, but the Senate keeps blocking them.
The reason the Senate keeps blocking them is that they are only passing legislation that is completely lopsided and ridiculous.
To that point, the House just passed The American Dream and Promise Act, which would give a path to citizenship for millions of illegal immigrants.
The Bill
The new House bill would fall in line with the DREAMers legislation.
The legislation provides green cards and a path to citizenship for roughly 2.1 million illegal immigrants.
In order to qualify, the illegals would have had at least 10 years “legal” residence in the country.
They would then get their green cards if they had also completed at least two years of higher education or served in the military for at least two years.
Additionally, they could gain status by having worked in the country for at least three years.
The bill passed 237 to 187, meaning seven Republicans walked across the line on what is the hottest topic of the moment for their Republican president.
On the legislation, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stated, “There should be nothing partisan or political about this legislation.
“We are proud to pass it, we hope, in a bipartisan way.”
GOP Pushback
As expected, there was immediate pushback by the GOP on the legislation.
The House Judiciary tweeted out its response to the legislation…
→ Border Patrol processing centers are far beyond capacity.
→ ICE detention facilities are full.
→ NGOs providing shelter and other aid to migrants are completely overwhelmed.Yet, Democrats are still pushing for mass amnesty with H.R. 6.

This measure will get blocked in the Senate for several reasons.
First and foremost, we have a crisis at our border and legislation such as this would only encourage more of the same.
We cannot, no matter how heartless some may believe it is, excuse the fact these individuals came into this country illegally.
Furthermore, there is simply no way Republicans should allow any type of amnesty or path legislation to pass without getting something in return.
I have stipulated before that while I do not want to give any of these illegals amnesty, it may be something to bargain with to get major concessions on the border wall funding and other immigration issues.
To just give them amnesty without nothing in return is absolutely ridiculous.
How many news stories have come out in recent months with DREAMers raping, killing, or hurting Americans?
Yet, the primary focus of the Democrat party continues to be to reward these individuals for breaking the law.
For some reason, everyone seems to lose focus that the moment they stepped on U.S. soil, they were breaking the law, period.
The Senate must kill this legislation and they need to do so quickly.
They not only need to kill it, but they also need to come out publicly and shred Democrats for daring to focus on this issue of amnesty while we have a massive crisis at the southern border that is a true danger to our country.
This posturing by the Democrat party is sickening and shows where party loyalty lies and it is clearly NOT with We the People.
