Obama Implicitly Blames Trump for Mass Shootings

Traditionally, past presidents do not take potshots at sitting presidents.

They know the challenges of the office and regardless of the situation, they tend to stay out of the muck.

The Donald Trump presidency has seemed to erase prior décor and traditions.

As a nation, we would think President Obama, who sat in the Oval Office during a 32 mass shootings, would sympathize with Trump.

Furthermore, we would think he would actually defend Trump, telling the nation and his fellow Democrats a sitting president is not responsible for these acts.

Instead, Obama chose to launch a veiled attack against Trump in a letter to the nation that was released on social media.

While he did not accuse Trump by name, his words implicitly blamed Trump for the shootings.

Not only that but rather than challenge everyone in office today to work to find the root cause of these shootings, he also railed for more gun legislation.

Here are just a few of lightning bolt statements in his letter:

“Until all of us stand up and insist on holding public officials accountable for changing our gun laws, these tragedies will keep happening.”

“[T]here are indications that the El Paso shooting follows a dangerous trend: troubled individuals who embrace racist ideologies and see themselves obligated to act violently to preserve white supremacy.”

“We should soundly reject language coming out of the mouths of any of our leaders that feeds a climate of fear and hatred or normalizes racist sentiments; leaders who demonize those who don’t look like us, or suggest that other people, including immigrants, threaten our way of life, or refer to other people as sub-human, or imply that America belongs to just one certain type of people.”

These words come from a president that told Republicans then needed to go to the “back of the bus” if they wanted to ride with him during a rally speech.

This coming from a man who backed a presidential candidate that called half the country deplorable, but never said a word against her statement.

This is coming from a president that broke bread with groups like Black Lives Matter that openly called for the killing of cops and white people.

This is a president that embraced two of the most racist, bigoted, and anti-Semitic men in the black community in Sharpton and Farrakhan.

Furthermore, Obama is, like the rest of his delusional party, twisting Trump’s words.

This is about illegal immigration and criminals, not all immigrants, and it never has been.

Needless to say, Trump was less than pleased with Obama’s message and responded in kind…

The media, of course, looked through Obama’s veiled words and decided to push more negative headlines about Trump.

CNN’s headline on the Trump tweet read: “Obama takes on hate and Trump takes on Obama.”

Politico’s headline was “Trump attacks Obama for statement on shootings.”

No matter what anyone on the Democrat side of the aisle says, they are heroes.

No matter what Trump says, he is a racist, a hate monger, and a villain.

This, patriots, is the America we live in today.
