Pelosi Breaks Vow, Slams Trump on Healthcare

Only two days ago, Nancy Pelosi vowed she was done talking about President Trump.

Within 24 hours, Pelosi broke her word to slam Trump over his announcement of a new push to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

She Just Can’t Help Herself

This is at least the second time Pelosi has announced she was done discussing Trump only to go back on her word within 48 hours.

If we didn’t know better, we might think Pelosi has a bit of an obsession with Trump.

This time around, Pelosi was hitting Trump for his continued effort to have Obamacare repealed.

Pelosi stated, “The President’s cruel hypocrisy knows no bounds.

“While he claims to want affordable coverage, his Justice Department is busy arguing that courts should destroy protections for people with pre-existing conditions and strike down every other protection and guarantee of affordable health care for America’s families.

“From Day One, the Trump Administration has sabotaged hard-working families’ health care, working to push families into shoddy junk plans, spike their health costs and take away their health care protections – all while pretending to care about people with pre-existing conditions.”

Whereas Trump wants to repeal the legislation, Nancy Pelosi and her fellow Democrats in the House are actually trying to expand the legislation.

The Trump Narrative

The Affordable Care Act has been on Trump’s radar from day one.

The mandate has crippled middle-class Americans and the costs of health care have impacted everyone, especially small business owners providing benefits for their employees.

This seems to be the new focus for Trump going forward to create legislation everyone can get behind.

Trump called the new proposal a “monumental victory for small businesses.”

According to the new policy, small business owners will now be able to provide tax-exempt funds to their workers that can then be used to purchase health care coverage.

This way, the individual can choose their own plan rather than be forced to accept whatever the workplace can afford or offer.

President Trump also stood by his promise to continue to keep the pre-existing condition mandate in effect, something Democrats say he is going to take away.
