For the average American in California, walking into a salon is forbidden right now.
However, that is not the case for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
Membership Has Its Privileges
Salons in California have been shut down for months.
Only recently they were told they could conduct their services outdoors, that is unless the Speaker of the House shoots you a text and wants the VIP service.
According to the Fox News report, Pelosi contacted her stylist for an appointment even though the shop owner has not been allowed to open her salon for working-class Americans.
Rather than look at it is an honor, the shop owner decided to expose Pelosi for the hypocrite that she is and called it a “slap in the face” that Pelosi would take advantage of her shop like this.
Salon owner Erica Kious stated, “It was a slap in the face that she went in, you know, that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can’t work.”
You should also note that even though current restrictions dictate that customers wear a mask when getting their hair done, Pelosi does not have one on…
Kious continued, “We have been shut down for so long, not just me, but most of the small businesses and I just can’t – it’s a feeling – a feeling of being deflated, helpless and honestly beaten down.
“I have been fighting for six months for a business that took me 12 years to build to reopen.
“I am a single mom, I have two small children, and I have no income.
“The fact that they did this, and she came in, it’s like a slap in the face.”
Also adding, “There were rules and regulations to go by to safely reopen, which I did, but I was still not allowed to open my business.”
Per regulations, Kious paid to have plexiglass partitions installed to keep customers separated and moved her chairs to six feet apart, but “they never let us open.”
Let’s see if the mainstream media hits Pelosi on this… my guess is NOT.
