Pelosi Turns Impeachment Signing in to Pomp and Circumstance

Remember that “solemn” impeachment and the “heavy heart” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has been touting?

Well, she finally sent the articles of impeachment over to Senate in a ceremony that was reminiscent of an epic trade or peace treaty that took years to negotiate.

The Circus Continues

Nancy Pelosi stood on the dais talking about making history.

The history, of course, was Democrats running a sham impeachment.

The signing ceremony itself was a complete travesty… with Pelosi going so far as to sign the articles one letter at a time with individual pens she would hand out to her buddies after the articles were signed by Pelosi.

When the signing was over, the Democrats held up their pens with large smiles on their face, as though they had actually accomplished something with this fiasco.

Moving Forward

Now that the Senate finally has the articles of impeachment, we can expect a trial to start within a week or so.

Chief Justice Roberts will preside over the trial, but Majority Leader McConnell (R-KY) has not yet stated whether or not he will allow witnesses to be called or not.

Listen, we already know how this impeachment is going to play out, so the real ramifications of the trial are the limits that are going to be put on some of the top contenders who will no longer be able to be out on the campaign trail.

Both Warren and Sanders are sitting Senators, so they will need to be in session, six days a week, six hours a day, during this trial.

While they may be able to hit the trail full time one day a week, if they plan on campaigning during the week, they are going to be racking up some serious private jet time, which will not work well for their platforms.

I have said this before and I am going to say it again, the timing of the transmission is suspect, as I personally believe it is all part of the plan by Democrats to block people like Sanders and Warren from being able to campaign.

Super Tuesday is less than a month away, and in a few days, Joe Biden will have the campaign trail all to himself.
