POLL: Majority of GOP Voters Want Trump to Run in 2024

The powers that be in the Republican party better be very careful how they proceed in upcoming months regarding Donald Trump.

People like Senator McConnell (R-KY) reportedly want him purged from the party for good, but a recent survey says Republican leadership should take a far different tone.

The Poll

A recent Politico/Morning Consult survey showed that a whopping 56 percent of likely GOP voters would like Trump, at various levels of enthusiasm, to run for office again in 2024.

That, however, is not the only bad news for Republicans that want Trump gone.

The survey also addressed the issue of a third party, and 30 percent stated they would be interested, with only 33 percent claiming loyalty to the current Republican party.

While that is not enough support to actually win anything, it is more than enough to ensure Republicans never win another election again, or for at least as long as the proposed Patriot Party sticks around.

Point being, rather than shunning Trump and disenfranchising his supporters, the party needs to figure out a way to not only make peace but also to give these individuals a bigger voice in the reshaping of the party.

That, of course, would include getting rid of McConnell, so it will be very interesting to see how all this plays on post-impeachment.
