POLL: Majority of Republicans Still Want Trump Involved in GOP

On Tuesday, President Trump finally responded to the recent comments by Senator McConnell (R-KY) regarding Trump and the January 6 Capitol riot.

McConnell has yet to respond, but it is clear McConnell would prefer that Trump simply go away.

However, a recent poll would suggest that is not the will of the people.

Political Hack

Since McConnell has not minced words, Trump decided to finally open up about McConnell.

In a scathing announcement, Trump referred to McConnell as a “political hack,” and that was the nice part.

I have stated before that leading into the 2022 election, battle lines will be drawn between these two and a recent poll would suggest that Trump is going to get the majority of voters on his side of the field.

A new Quinnipiac poll found that a whopping 75 percent of Republican voters still want Trump to play a major role in the GOP moving forward, which is surely not good news for McConnell and the rest of his establishment buddies.

Quinnipiac University polling analyst Tim Malloy stated, “He may be down, but he is certainly not out of favor with the GOP.

“Twice impeached, vilified by Democrats in the trial, and virtually silenced by social media … despite it all, Donald Trump keeps a solid foothold in the Republican Party.”

I firmly believe the time has come to reshape this party with a lot of fresh blood that is willing to get in there and fight.

McConnell, when push comes to shove, has no backbone, and the same can be said for the majority of officeholders today.

When the Democrat Party digs in, Republicans always buckle and fold, and that needs to change.
