Privately-Funded Texas Group Begins Its Own Border Wall Construction

If Democrats won’t build the wall, we will… that is the mantra of Texas-based “We Build the Wall.”

Through a Go Fund Me campaign, the group has currently raised more than $22 million.

The group just announced it has started construction on its own border wall along the El Paso border.

El Paso Border Problems

To hear Beto O’Rourke, one would think everything is perfectly fine in El Paso, but that is not the case.

Over the last year, border apprehensions in the El Paso sector have increased more than 1,800 percent.

That is not a typo, either.

Last year, authorities apprehended roughly half a dozen people a day.

Today, they are gathering up more than 900 illegals every day.

The Army Corps of Engineers previously looked at this area and deemed it too rugged to support fence construction.

We Build the Wall begs to differ.

The group has started construction and there is nothing the Democrats can do to stop them, either, because the fence is being put up on private land.

Amazingly, most of the donations made to the group are less than $70, but they are receiving a LOT of them.

Kris Kobach, a member of the group and the former Secretary of State for Kansas, stated, “We’ll keep on building as long as people keep chipping in.”

We Build the Wall

The project was started by Brian Kolfage.

Kolfage is a triple amputee and veteran of the United States Air Force.

The project was started in December 2018 and as of today, the Go Fund Me page shows more than $22 million in donations, with the total going up virtually every second.

Even though construction has started, the project is continuing to accept donations so it can continue building the wall…

The group has some heavyweight support behind it.

Here are just a few of the high-profile members supporting Kolfage’s group:

  • Brigadier General Dr. Robert S. Spaulding III
  • Erik Prince (former Navy SEAL)
  • Kris Kobach (former Kansas Secretary of State)
  • Mary Ann Mendoza (Angel Mom)

After the wall construction began, the group put out several videos to keep donators informed as to the progress and why they started construction where they did…

This is Trump supporters at their finest showing Americans exactly why we don’t need more government.

As stated, the group is still accepting donations through its Go Fund Me Page (click here).

The group is also currently accepting volunteers to help with the project (click here).
