For a man that allegedly worked very hard to get Donald Trump elected president, Vladimir Putin has been pretty harsh on Trump lately.
During a recent interview, Putin blasted President Trump and the United States, saying relations between the countries are “going downhill.”
Not Happy with Trump
The 2016 narrative was and has been that Russia wanted Trump in the White House and did everything they could to put him in there.
Democrats say this happened because they think Donald Trump is in their pocket.
Dems also stated Putin worked against Hillary because he knows how much harder she would have been on the Russians had she been elected.
Well, that entire narrative just got flushed.
During his interview, Putin stated, “They [relations with the U.S.] are going downhill, they are getting worse and worse.
“The current administration has approved, in my opinion, several dozen decisions on sanctions against Russia in recent years.”
While he was very critical of Trump and how the administration has treated Russia since he has been in office, Putin stated he also still has high hopes relations will improve in due time.
That, however, is not likely to happen anytime soon, especially with Iran doing just about everything it can to lure us into a conflict.
Upcoming Meeting
Trump and Putin will have the opportunity to sit down and hash some things out during July’s G20 Summit.
President Trump has already hinted he and Putin will be having a private sit down, but nothing has officially been confirmed between the two parties as of yet.
In addition to the sanctions and the problems with Iran, Poland will no doubt also be in the table for discussion.
Warsaw has asked for support and received it in a pledge by Trump to send 1,000 troops to the area to deter aggression from Russian troops in the area.
Trump is also threatening to slap the Russian Nord Stream 2 pipeline with sanctions.
Now, I could be wrong, but that does not exactly seem a president that is “owned” by the Russians or someone that doing the Russians excessive favors while occupying the Oval Office.
Somehow, while still accusing Trump of colluding with the Russians, the mainstream media and Dems seem to simply be ignoring these facts.
