Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) decided to rail about immigration facilities and compared them to Nazi concentration camps.
Well, the pushback is starting and it is not going to be good for AOC.
Rabbi Abraham Cooper took considerable offense to her comments and absolutely shredded her for daring to compare the two with a blistering op-ed on Fox News.
AOC Out of Line
This all got started when AOC decided to do a livestream on Instagram after a tough day at the office.
During the livestream, she stated, “The fact that concentration camps are now an institutionalized practice in the home of the free is extraordinarily disturbing, and we need to do something about it.”
She further stated, “I don’t use those words to just throw bombs.
“I use that word because that is what an administration that creates concentration camps is.
“A presidency that creates concentration camps is fascist and it’s very difficult to say that.”
On Tuesday, AOC did not back off, stating, “This administration has established concentration camps on the southern border of the United States for immigrants, where they are being brutalized with dehumanizing conditions and dying.
“This is not hyperbole.
“It is the conclusion of expert analysis.”
After she was called out on social media for her comments, AOC added a little more fuel to the fire, stating, “And for the shrieking Republicans who don’t know the difference: concentration camps are not the same as death camps.”
AOC clearly needs a history lesson about how concentration camps got started and what actually happened inside of them.
There is no need to get into the history of them here because if you are reading this, you have common sense and know the difference, something AOC lacks.
However, I will give a description that was once given by Ed Royce.
Royce was one of the GIs that liberated a Nazi concentration camp as well as the father of retired Rep. Ed Royce.
He stated, “I saw heaps of clothes in front of the building with bad – German for bath – painted on the door, the shower heads that pumped deadly gas instead of water, the room filled halfway to the ceiling with naked bodies and the room with ovens for burning the bodies.
“There was an entire trainload – hundreds of emaciated bodies – on a nearby rail spur.
“Evidently they had starved to death on the train.”
You can rest assured, those are NOT the conditions under which illegal immigrants are living.
Rabbi Abraham Cooper, thankfully, wrote an op-ed to set the record straight and I would highly encourage you to read it.
