REPORT: Biden Making Major Changes to Inauguration Plans Due to Security Concerns

As more and more information starts to emerge about the attack at the Capitol, Joe Biden seems to be hitting the panic button just a bit.

It now seems pretty clear this was not a spur of the moment event that was egged on by Trump’s comments, but instead a pre-planned and calculated attack.

As such, Biden’s team now seems to have growing concerns about keeping Biden safe on inauguration day.

Many of the plans that Biden reportedly had in place are now being scrapped, such as a train ride on Amtrak and some other events that would have had Joe Biden out in the wide open.

The team has also reportedly changed rehearsal plans due to security concerns.

Lisa Monaco, a former Homeland Security adviser for Obama, has been brought in to consult with the Biden transition team on this matter.

A transition spokesperson stated, “Ms. Monaco will assist the President-elect and work with the incoming national security advisor, the incoming homeland security advisor, and current security and law enforcement officials, including with the United States Secret Service on their plans for the inauguration.

“Given the existing threats, Ms. Monaco’s temporary role will be focused solely on the period leading up to the inauguration.”
