A report broke last night that truly sent a shiver down my spine.
Several outlets are now reporting that former FBI Director James Comey is under investigation by federal prosecutors.

The New York Times is already calling this a politically motivated probe, but few with a reasonable head on their shoulder would not want this investigated.
We know Comey leaked information to the media, but now there may be a bit more to it than was previously understood.
This new investigation is looking at whether or not Comey leaked information regarding a secret Russian document to the press, specifically The New York Times and The Washington Post.
The document allegedly claimed a “tacit understanding between the Clinton campaign and the [Obama] Justice Department over the inquiry into whether she intentionally revealed classified information through her use of the private email server.”
The Fox News report stated that the documentation was turned over the FBI by Dutch intelligence.
The document allegedly implicates then-Chairwoman of the DNC, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), and Leonard Benardo, who is affiliated with the George Soros Open Society Foundations.
The document allegedly states that Wasserman Schultz informed Benardo that she had confirmation from then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch that Clinton would not be prosecuted for the email scandal.
Both Wasserman Schultz and Benardo denied that conversation ever took place and the document itself “has long been viewed within the FBI as unreliable.”
At the time, it was believed the Russians may have forged the document.
Comey, in his decision to not indict Clinton, included this document to support his argument that no “reasonable prosecutor” would indict Clinton with the evidence they had.
It is really hard to say how all of this will play out and if Comey is any real danger.
To this point, our Justice Department has refused to go after any of its own, so this would be a massive shift in direction if charges were ever actually filed against Comey.
My fear is that the investigation comes up empty and it takes Comey from being exposed as corrupt and makes him into a martyr again.
Now that this door has been kicked open, I sure hope they had enough real reasons to walk through it or the whole thing could blow up in this administration’s face.
