Report: MLB Player Banned from Team Reunion for Supporting Trump

The 2010 San Francisco Giants World Series winning team will be without one member during its upcoming reunion.

Aubrey Huff, the former Giants first baseman, was snubbed from its upcoming reunion due to the fact the team did not like his social media posts and support of Donald Trump.

The Woke MLB

Professional sports teams don’t seem to have a problem when players voice their support for liberal causes.

However, support the Second Amendment and a president like Donald Trump, well, that is apparently enough to get you banned.

This season, the San Francisco Giants will be holding a 10-year reunion for the players of the 2010 championship season.

The party, however, will have to go on without Huff, who played an integral role in their run.

The Giants told ESPN, “Earlier this month, we reached out to Aubrey Huff to let him know that he will not be included in the upcoming 2010 World Series Championship reunion.

“Aubrey has made multiple comments on social media that are unacceptable and run counter to the values of our organization.

“While we appreciate the many contributions that Aubrey made to the 2010 championship season, we stand by our decision.”

I follow Huff and he has never said anything that was so over the top that he should not be able to participate in this reunion.

He has made some off-color jokes, but they were clearly jokes.

Huff in response, issued his own statement, part of which stated, “When I asked why I wasn’t invited [Baer] told [me] that the board didn’t approve of my Twitter posts, and my political support of Donald Trump.

“My locker room humor on Twitter is meant to be satirical, and sarcastic. And it was that type of humor that loosened up the clubhouse in 2010 for our charge at a World Series title. They loved it then, and it hasn’t changed. That’s not the issue. It’s politics.

“I find this whole thing very hypocritical coming from a man who has had his share of real controversy for pushing his wife for which he had to take a break from the Giants and issue a formal apology. All I did was tweet.”

So, athletes can support groups that literally call for the death of our police officers.

They can wear socks with pigs dressed up as officers.

They can support illegal immigration, and they actually get rewarded with endorsement deals.

Support Trump, and you are ostracized.

The message… you can use your freedom of speech, just don’t use it as a conservative.
