The undermining of this administration by Democrats is shameless and unending.
The Federalist is now reporting yet another instance of this, stating that Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) held a secret meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif when he was in Germany last week for the Munich Security Conference.
Undermining National Security
The fact that Murphy held this meeting is about as juicy as it gets on so many levels.
If you recall, Senator Murphy, in 2017, stated, “Any effort to undermine our nation’s foreign policy – even during a transition period – may be illegal and must be taken seriously.”
He said that regarding General Flynn’s phone call with his Russian counterpart as the administration was preparing for the transition from the Obama administration to the Trump administration.
He made those comments even though he has openly defended Democrats holding such secret meetings before.
For example, Murphy defended the numerous meetings former Secretary of State John Kerry had held with Iranian officials.
Now It Gets Really Interesting
What really makes this juicy, though, is the reaction Iranian officials are now having against the Trump administration.
For instance, on Saturday, just days after the alleged meeting with Murphy, PM Zarif stated, “I believe our neighbors, especially Saudi Arabia, do not want to (de-escalate).”
He would go on to blame the Trump administration for putting more pressure on these countries to apply pressure against Iran for Trump’s “maximum pressure campaign” to buckle the Iranian economy.
Now, was this his own thinking or was it an idea that was put into his head by Murphy to make the Trump administration look bad?
Similar statements were made after Kerry’s meetings as well as some strategy changes.
It is not unreasonable to think these Democrats are coaching Iran on how to deal with this administration, which is a truly scary thought.
If Democrats are so desperate to have Trump removed that they are willing to coordinate with a terrorist nation against a sitting administration, is there really anything they would not do to regain power?
Think about that… they would rather work with terrorists than a duly elected Republican president.
This is something that needs to be investigated and not by Congress.
Immediately, Barr needs to appoint a special prosecutor to this case to see if this report is true and if it is, Murphy should stand trial as a traitor to our country.
