One of the biggest wrongs for most Americans was the villainizing of Michael Flynn.
Now, the woman that was made out to be a Russian operative in the case, Svetlana Lokhova, says it was all a smear campaign.
Exposing the Truth
Lokhova is a Russian academic that swears up and down she is not a Russian operative, as Stefan Halper, the man used by the FBI in the case, claims.
From her exclusive interview with Fox News, it appears as though Halper used her to set up Flynn.
Lokhova stated, “I’m not a Russian spy and I have never worked for the Russian government.”
“I believe that General Flynn was targeted and I was used to do it,” she added.
Halper, as you may recall, was the individual that reached out to Carter Page, George Papadopoulos, and Sam Clovis.
The Set Up
The plot to set up Flynn dates back to a 2014 event where she and Flynn both attended.
To that point, she insists she did not know Flynn nor was she ever alone with Flynn.
There was nothing suspicious or eventful that happened at the even that caused any red flags for Lokhova.
She then stated that in December 2015, Flynn was paid an appearance fee to speak at an event in Russia.
Allegations were made about Lokhova for that event in that she and Flynn exchanged emails for her to be used a translator for Flynn, as he would be sharing a table with Putin.
Lokhova stated, “There was absolutely no discussion of going to Moscow with General Flynn.”
Halper then reemerged as a central figure, inviting Lokhova to a private dinner.
Lokhova stated, “It was very, very unusual because Stefan Halper and I, despite being part of the same group, and meeting pretty much in a public forum, we’ve had no personal contact at all. [Halper] to me was an obnoxious academic who absolutely hated all Russians.”
When Flynn was fired in 2017, Lokhova started to connect the dots and realized that she may have been used as a deep state pawn to take down Flynn.
Lokhova stated, “I’m an academic and I’m an author and my very career depends on my reputation. On a personal level, I’m a mother of a young child and I don’t want my child when she grows up to think her mom is a whore and a traitor.”
There has already been significant speculation that several of Trump’s associates were targeted by Halper and the FBI.
This is yet more evidence of a deep state that must be investigated because if her story is true, there is no telling how far up the chain the effort to take out Trump and his associates will go.
