In a completely bizarre move, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors has passed a new resolution targeting the National Rifle Association.
The City passed the resolution on Tuesday, stating that the NRA is “plagued by an epidemic of gun violence.”
It further stated the NRA uses “its considerable wealth and organization strength to promote gun ownership and incite gun owners to acts of violence.
“All countries have violent and hateful people, but only in American do we give them ready access to assault weapons and large-capacity magazines thanks, in large part, to the National Rifle Association’s influence.”
Are They Serious?
Please, tell me, when do we vote on allowing California to secede the Republic?
At no time has the NRA EVER encouraged acts of violence in this country.
This resolution is also looking to penalize any business that supports the NRA.
The resolution states, “the City and County of San Francisco should take every reasonable step to limit those entities who do business with the City and County of San Francisco from doing business with this domestic terrorist organization.”
I guess this would make the millions of Americans that belong to the NRA terrorists as well.
NRA Pushback
The NRA immediately responded, calling the resolution nothing more than a cheap political stunt.
In a statement to the media, the NRA stated, “This ludicrous stunt by the Board of Supervisors is an effort to distract from the real problems facing San Francisco, such as rampant homelessness, drug abuse and skyrocketing petty crime, to name a few.
“The NRA will continue working to protect the constitutional rights of all freedom-loving Americans.”
Obviously, the federal government, at least at this point, is not going to declare the NRA a terrorist organization, but you never know what might happen if the Dems manage to win the presidential election and take over the Senate.
Beto O’Rourke has suggested a gun grab by the government.
He stated, “I want to be really clear that that’s exactly what we are going to do.
“Americans who own AR-15s, AK-47s, will have to sell them to the government.”
Joe Biden and several other candidates have also suggested some type of buyback programs to take guns away from law-abiding citizens.
This resolution may be a stunt now but with the direction this country is headed, this may become a reality sooner than any of us ever thought possible.
