Sanders Expected to Win Big in Texas on Super Tuesday

Joe Biden has been the leader in Texas for Democrats throughout this campaign.

That, however, has changed, and per a new Dallas Morning News-U of T at Tyler poll, Sanders now has a commanding lead headed into Super Tuesday.

Sad Day for Texas

The fact that someone like Sanders is now dominating the Democrat field is rather disturbing for the state of Texas.

There has been a swing in recent years of more transplants and millennials that are voting left, but supporting Sanders is a completely different thing entirely.

How can a socialist candidate become popular in a state so firmly linked to fighting for the freedoms of this country?

Hard to believe, but that is the data out of the new poll.

Dallas Morning News is now reporting that Sanders’ big move is largely due to the Hispanic voters flocking to Sanders, a demographic where he previously trailed Joe Biden.

Sanders is now pulling down 42 percent in this Demographic to Biden’s 18.

Overall, Sanders is now at 29 percent, followed by Bloomberg at 21 percent and Biden at 19 percent.

Bad News for Joe Biden

As bad as this news is for Texas conservatives, it is even worse for Joe Biden.

Biden has spent a LOT of money in the early states trying to get some momentum and he has nowhere near the war chest of Bernie Sanders or Bloomberg.

The former vice president has not even visited a Super Tuesday state in about a month, so he is way behind both Sanders and Bloomberg in terms of ground game as well.

Biden has been counting on Texas to get him through Super Tuesday because he knows he is going to take it on the chin in California, another state he has just about ignored during this campaign.

At only 19 percent, Biden is dangerously close to the threshold for even qualifying for any delegates at all.

If these poll numbers hold true and Bloomberg slides into second place in these Super Tuesday states, it could be Biden, not Bloomberg, saying adios come Wednesday morning.
