We have been waiting for it to happen and Bernie Sanders has finally unleashed on the Democrat establishment.
While appearing on ABC’s “This Week,” Sanders blamed establishment pressure for both Klobuchar and Buttigieg dropping out and endorsing Joe Biden.
The Establishment Vs. Biden
For the record, I 100 percent agree with Bernie on this.
While I do not want to see a socialist a mere vote away from the White House, what is happening to Sanders is pure theft on the part of the Democrat party.
On the flip side, Sanders deserves this because it happened to him in 2016, so I am not sure why he thought it would be any different now.
Sanders stated, “One of the things that I wasn’t surprised by was the power of establishment to force Amy Klobuchar who worked so hard and Pete Buttigieg who worked extremely hard as well, out of the race.
“What was very clear from the media narrative and what the establishment wanted was to make sure that people coalesced around Biden and defeat me.
“We’re taking on, George, on the establishment.
“We’re taking on the corporate establishment. We’re taking on the political establishment.”
He went on to say, “And what you’re seeing now just in the last few weeks is Wall Street, the health care industry, the billionaire class putting a lot of money into Joe’s campaign.
“But at the end of the day, you know what I think we’re going to win this thing.
“We won in California. We won in Utah and Colorado. We won in Vermont.
“I’m looking forward to the primary here in Michigan. And in the state of Washington and other places as well.”
Gonna Get Ugly
Up until this point, it has been a fairly easy campaign for Joe Biden.
Both candidates vowed to run clean campaigns and keep the insults to a minimum, but I have a feeling that is about to change.
Bernie has been tame simply because he has been in the lead but now he is fighting for his life.
I would expect the more pressure that gets put on the Sanders campaign, the more mud he starts slinging in Biden’s direction.
This is also going to force Biden to make more appearances, something that has proven to be very harmful to Biden in terms of gaffes.
Dig in, patriots, this is about to get fun!
