Sanders Proposals Radical Change to Voting Laws

Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT) has figured out another way to stuff the ballot boxes for Democrats.

Sanders wants to extend voting rights to felons that are currently serving time in prison.

Still in American Society

Bernie Sanders has long been an advocate for felons having their voting rights restored after they have served their prison sentence.

Now, however, in an effort to generate a few more votes, Sanders wants to give those currently residing at the expense of the state voting rights.

Sanders stated, “I think that is absolutely the direction we should go.

“In my state, what we do is separate.

“You’re paying a price, you committed a crime, you’re in jail. That’s bad.

“But you’re still living in American society and you have a right to vote. I believe in that, yet, I do.”

In Sanders’ home state of Vermont, that privilege has already been restored to incarcerated felons.

Break the Law, Lose Your Rights

Voting is a fundamental right of law-abiding citizens of this country, per the Constitution.

The 14th Amendment specifically cites grounds for felony disenfranchisement.

That document means little to the Democrats, though, as they have been trying to chip away at it for decades.

It is in the same class of argument for illegal immigrants being granted the right to vote, which is also specifically addressed in the Constitution.

Mandi Merritt, an RNC spokesperson stated, “From suggesting that illegal immigrants should be able to vote, to trying to lower the voting age to 16, to now proposing convicted felons behind bars should be able to vote, Democrats are once again trying to rewrite the rules for their own political agenda.”

It is rather shocking that liberals cannot see where this party is headed.

Democrats simply do not have enough appeal to law-abiding citizens, so the party is now resorting to criminals and illegal immigrants as a way to win back the White House.

Is it just me, or does anyone else see the problem here?
