Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is going on the offensive against both James Comey and the entire Democrat party.
Next week, Sen. Graham will be trying to get documents declassified that will prove the Steele dossier was never verified.
Unverified Information
When information is used to secure FISA warrants, it is supposed to be thoroughly investigated.
That clearly was not the case with the Steele dossier.
For those of you not familiar with how this dossier was put together, it was tasked to Christopher Steele by Fusion GPS.
Steele reportedly used a CNN research tool called iReport to gather most of the information that was in the dossier.
However, iReport is not a verified source, as it simply gathers any and all information for keywords.
For instance, if you did a search for “Donald Trump Russians,” it would return not only mainstream media results but also results from obscure blogs and conspiracy theory websites.
Point being, the information is not verified or proven to be true at all.
It is more or less water cooler gossip.
Comey in Hot Water
We have long suspected if this avenue were every truly investigated, James Comey would be in a world of hurt over what was revealed.
To this point, these documents have been sealed, but Graham is working hard to make sure that changes very soon.
Graham stated, “There’s a document that’s classified that I’m gonna try to get unclassified that takes the dossier – all the pages of it – and it has verification to one side.
“There really is no verification, other than media reports that were generated by reporters that received the dossier.”
In other words, reporters were generating mainstream reports off a dossier that was completely bogus.
Graham further stated, “So, the bottom line is the dossier has never been independently confirmed.
“It was used to get a warrant.
“They knew the author of the dossier was on the Democrat Party payroll.
“He hated Trump; they got the warrant anyway.
“Most Americans should be very upset about that. I’m very upset about it.
“And we’re going to get to the bottom of it.”
Trump supporters are hoping Graham delivers on that promise because it would blow the current Democrat narrative right out of the water and really put pressure on the Justice Department to go after Comey.
This, of course, is important because Comey has been hammering away at both Barr and Trump in the media for several weeks trying to deflect attention away from his own misdoings.
