Sex Offender Released in CA Already Re-Arrested

The big new push among the Democrat party is to release prisoners due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On April 13, Rudy William Grajeda Magdaleno was one of several high-risk sex offenders released, and now he has reportedly been arrested again, charged with exposing himself to a parole officer.

Let Them Go Free

I have been adamant from the outset that I thought setting prisoners free due to the coronavirus was a mistake.

My biggest complaint was that authorities would be putting those most at risk to the coronavirus back on the street with no job and in many cases, no home.

My second biggest problem was that we were being misled to believe that prisoners released would be all low-risk, which was clearly not the case.

The fear here is that given the current situation and with little resources, those criminals released would resort to their old habits and once again begin to commit crimes.

Do It Again

When Magdaleno was released, he was one of several high-risk sexual offenders let go by the California penal system.

After those prisoners were released by court order, the Orange County, CA District Attorney, Todd Spritzer, went ballistic.

He stated, “These kinds of high-risk sex offenders are the most dangerous kind of criminal and the most likely to re-offend.

“They are doing everything they can to avoid detection by the parole officers assigned to monitor them so they can potentially commit additional sex offenses.

“These are not the kind of people who should be getting a break.”

As it turns out, he was right, as Magdaleno has already been re-arrested, as noted above.

This is far from the only case, as we have seen widespread reported cases of prisoners that have been released due to the coronavirus pandemic committing more crimes, sometimes violent and deadly crimes.

The sad reality, though, is that liberals will not look at the private citizens that have fallen victim but rather the percentage of prisoners that were saved.

If, say, ONLY 10 percent of the released prisoners commit crimes after being released, Dems will say that is awesome without taking into account the fact this policy is what put those law-abiding citizens at risk in the first place.
