Shepard Smith Quits Fox News

Conservatives finally got some good news coming out of the mouth of Shepard Smith.

On Friday, Smith stunned viewers by announcing that it was his last broadcast and he was leaving the Fox News Family…

Good Riddance

Some will say Smith was the last voice of reason on Fox News, but I say good riddance.

I have absolutely no problem with a liberal being an anchor as long as they are fair, something Smith was incapable of being.

Every negative story he told about Trump was delivered with a smirk on his face and he could not resist interjecting his personal views in his news reading.

He was the polar opposite of Bret Baier, who never allows his own personal ideology to taint the news.

Smith was not an opinion host, he was a news anchor, yet he rammed his liberal nonsense down everyone’s throat at every opportunity.

Recent Battles

There is little doubt the most recent feud that was going on at Fox with Tucker Carlson played a role in Smith’s decision.

The two of them duked it out for several days over the legitimacy of impeaching Trump over the Ukraine phone call.

When Judge Napolitano went after Trump, Carlson’s guest, Joe diGenova called the Judge a “fool.”

Smith replied, “Attacking our colleague, who’s here to offer legal assessments on our air, in our work home, is repugnant.”

Carlon followed up Smith’s comments with a reply of his own, stating, “Not clear if that was you or me but someone was repugnant.”

Smith was a typical liberal media personality in that he thought he could say whatever he wanted without repercussion while holding conservatives to a different standard.

According to Smith’s final signoff, he will not be taking a position anywhere else, at least not for now.

He stated, “under our agreement I won’t be reporting elsewhere, at least in the near future.

“But I will be able to see more of… our friends and family, then we’ll see what comes along.”

Good riddance, Shep, and hopefully we never see you on the airways again.
