Super Bowl Winning Coach Says It Will Be ‘An Honor’ to Visit White House

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is one of the most beloved coaches in the NFL.

After stating he would consider it “quite an honor” to visit the White House after winning the Super Bowl, he may have won the NFL a few fans back from disgruntled Trump supporters.

What a Difference a Year Makes

Last year, prior to the Super Bowl, there were players on both teams threatening to boycott the White House if they won.

The year prior, the Philadelphia Eagles were uninvited to the White House when the coach and several players were badmouthing Trump after their win.

This year, one of the more famous players on the 49ers, Richard Sherman, who plays defensive back, was confident he was going to win and had already told the media he would probably skip the White House visit.

The problem for Sherman, though, is that you have to both win the game and get the invite to go.

That never happened.

Sherman and his defense folded like a cheap beach chair over the final 10 minutes of the game and allowed Kansas City to walk down the field not once, not twice, but three times, coughing up a 10-point lead in the process.

Thankfully, the Kansas City Chiefs won the game and their coach, Andy Reid, could not be happier.

When asked if he would go to the White House, assuming there was an invitation, he stated, “If they’re inviting us, I’ll be there.

“It’s quite an honor.”

Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) was just as happy and excited after the game as Reid…

Andy Reid had more wins without a championship than any other coach in the NFL.

He has long been regarded as a coaching genius with a penchant for making missteps on game day.

Eagles fans pushed him out of the city after a long history of winning, touting him as someone that could never win the big one, even though he brought the franchise back to relevance.

As it turns out, it wasn’t Andy, but rather the talent he was surrounded with.

Even as a Cowboys fan, I found myself rooting for Andy simply so he could get that monkey off his back.

Congratulations Andy, and we all look forward to seeing you at the White House shaking the hand of OUR President.
