Rep. Al Green (D-TX) is now in his eighth term in the House and after his most recent stunt, it will hopefully be his last.
When Green got his time at the microphone to make remarks during the impeachment hearing before the full House, he chose to use a debunked picture to once again accuse Trump of being responsible for child separations at the border and to make his case for impeachment.
The Picture
Honestly, if Speaker Pelosi or Rep. Nadler had an ounce of integrity, they would have told Green to take the picture down as soon as he had set it up.
Green pointed to the “crying girl” photo, stating, “In the name of democracy, on behalf of the republic, and for the sake of many who are suffering.
“I will vote to impeach and I encourage my colleagues to do so as well.
“No one is beyond justice in this country.”
The photo that was being used by Green has already been debunked as fake news.
Democrats portrayed the little girl in the picture as having been separated from her parents during the immigration process.
The only problem was the girl had just been put down by her mother during a pat-down at the border and not once was she separated from her mom during her processing.
The facts don’t matter much to Democrats, though, because it is all about the headline and political theater right now.
Dems won’t admit the policy was put in place under President Bush and they will not even discuss the fact the cages they regularly refer to were built during the Obama administration.
No, they would rather lie the blame at Trump’s feet, even though he is the one that formally suspended the policy of separating children from their parents.
Time for Green to Go
Green is a perfect example of the change that is needed within our government.
He has been serving in the House for 16 years… he is a lifelong politician that spews rhetoric and lies every chance he gets, but yet the people in his district continue to vote him in time and time again.
Green is very representative of the poison that must be flushed from our government.
Yet, there he stands, lying to the American people and being applauded for doing so by his fellow Democrats.
