Let me get this straight… if you are a white conservative from the south and you support Trump’s immigration plan, you are a racist.
According to Rep. Casten (D-Il), that would appear to be the qualifiers, or perhaps he is just insane and throwing out absurd allegations to deflect away from the wrongdoings of his own party members.
The Hero Racist
For those of you unfamiliar with the story of Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), the man is a legitimate hero.
Prior to running for Congress, Crenshaw served in the U.S. Navy with the SEALs teams.
In all, Crenshaw did five tours of duty, putting his life on the line virtually every day for ten years.
As a member of SEAL Team Three, Crenshaw lost an eye to an IED. He would undergo surgery and return to active duty for two more tours of duty AFTER the surgery.
He has earned two Bronze Stars, a Purple Heart, and the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Valor.
Crenshaw retired as a Lt. Commander in 2016.
Not once, and I mean EVER, was there a whisper of racism or impropriety by Crenshaw during his time in the military.
It was only when he came out against illegal immigrants voting that he was accused of being a racist.
The Accusations
Rep. Casten, who made the allegations of racism against Crenshaw, is no hero.
In fact, he all but mocked Crenshaw’s service during his rant where he accused Crenshaw of being a racist.
Casten was being asked about Rep. Omar’s (D-Minn) anti-Semitic behavior when he suddenly deflected to Crenshaw.
He stated, “The last amendment on the floor that day came from Dan Crenshaw, the new Republican, the Navy SEAL with the eye patch.
“He came up with an amendment to say we’re going to add a rider on this bill that says that illegals can’t vote.
“… why are you doing that? The reason you’re doing that is because you are a racist. Because you are trying to appeal to people who will vote for you if you stand up and oppose brown people.”

When did it become okay for illegal immigrants to vote in this country?
When did it become okay for someone who has never put his life on the line, never heard a bullet fired in anger, to not only demean the service of a true American hero but to also make unfounded accusations of racism against that same man?
For his part, Crenshaw has already responded…
“We’ve seen this desperate and immature strategy time after time from the Democrat Party.
“The strategy is simple: when you disagree with someone during a policy debate, resort to calling your opponent a racist.
“Rep. Casten, we’ve never met, we’ve never talked.
“I’ve never insulted you.
“But instead of articulating a policy position, you resort to petty name-calling, which is a good indication you can’t defend your argument with any sort of intellectual vigor.
“This is Congress — it’s our job to debate — but please leave you smear tactics at home next time.”
This man needs to be exposed and he needs to answer for these baseless accusations against Crenshaw because we simply cannot allow Democrats to continue these blatant smear campaigns unfettered.
