Top Democrat Reveals Dem Senators Split on Impeachment

It would now appear as though Democrat solidarity on impeachment is starting to wane.

According to Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT), it now appears likely that several Democrat Senators will vote “no” on at least one of the articles of impeachment, if not both of them.

Not Going Well

For the better part of three days, Americans got to hear long-winded opening arguments by the Democrats.

This mostly consisted of Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) spouting off about debunked Russian conspiracy theories and misrepresenting evidence to suit his own narrative.

There was also Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) throwing around so many insults, Chief Justice Roberts was compelled to tell everyone to dial it down a notch.

By the end of Friday, the Democrat case appeared to be so weak, even CNN and MSNBC were saying that the impeachment was not going well.

On Saturday, the Trump defense team took over and the general consensus was that within two hours, Trump’s legal team shredded every argument the Dems put forth to impeach Trump.

Early Saturday, Senator Murphy was asked how he thought things were going.

He replied, “I don’t have any reason to think there are Democrats that aren’t with us on procedural votes.

“It’s certainly possible there are Democrats that are going to vote no on one of the articles, two of the articles.”

Crossing the Line

From most reports, it is believed that at least two Democrat Senators will vote for acquittal.

Both Senators Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) are virtual locks to vote with Republicans.

Additionally, Democrats seem to be worried about Senators Gary Peters (D-MI) and Jeanne Shaheed (D-N.H.) as possible defectors.

If this happens, it will be an epic failure for Democrats no matter how they try to spin this at the dais afterward.

Remember, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) promised a bipartisan impeachment or no impeachment at all.

The House vote when down along party lines, with two Democrats crossing over.

If a similar vote happens in the Senate at the end of this trial, it could literally shred the Democrat party to bits.

The fact they tried to circumvent our justice system by not allowing certain cases to play out before charging Trump with obstruction is only going to make matters worse for the party come election day.

Trump may be impeached forever, as the Dems love to say, but they also can’t change the election results from 2016 and based on the public opinion of this circus, they are not going to like or be able to change the election results of 2020 either.
