Traitor! Trump Administration Officials Hang ICE Raid Leak on DHS Chief

The news of the cancelation of the ICE raids did not go over well with Trump’s base, and now the administration is in major damage control.

As part of that damage control, administration officials sought out the leak that was in part responsible for the plan being canceled.

Several sources, both current and former, within the Trump administration firmly believe the leak itself was created by acting Homeland Security Director Kevin McAleenan.

Never on Board

The raid to round up more than one million illegals has apparently been in the works for some time.

The number of people that actually knew the details of the plan was purposely limited.

On Friday, a story broke in the Washington Post revealed the full plan, including the cities that would be targeted in the raid.

Because of the details leaked, there were very few people that could have been the source.

On Saturday, Trump caved to Dems and canceled the raids, stating he was giving Dems two more weeks to work with Republicans on true immigration reform.

While all of this was going on, administration officials were scratching their heads as to whom the person was that gave out such detail.

As of now, all fingers are pointing to acting DHS Secretary Kevin McAleenan.

Several sources have cited he was never on board with the operation and was constantly pitching for it to be shelved.

Purposeful Leak

If McAleenan was against it, him leaking the information makes sense.

Once the details are out for such a plan, the surprise factor it relies upon for success is gone.

When current and former administration officials were asked about the possibility of Mc Aleenan being the leaker, here is what they had to say…

Source 1:

“I know he has not approved of this operation for months.

“The president wouldn’t leak that. ICE wouldn’t leak that. There’s only a few people involved in these discussions … The only one who could have shared the details of those operations were Kevin.”

Source 2:

“The secretary was not supportive from day one.”

A third source stated McAleenan “cares more about what liberals and ‘Never Trumpers’ in Congress and the media think of him the achieving the express mission of his department.”

Something that is further damning for McAleenan is the fact he traveled this week with the reporter that covered the story for WaPo, Nick Miroff.

If this is the case, Trump must take action against McAleenan immediately.

As one official stated, he not only put the operation at risk, but he also put the safety and welfare of every agent involved in the raids at risk, and that cannot go unpunished.
