Remember when James Comey went on his book tour, claiming he had responsibilities to higher powers than Trump?
Well, former Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) offered up some advice for Comey in the future, stating, “Don’t write any more books on ethics… Don’t tell me what the ethical standard is if you think this report vindicates you.”
Deception is NOT Ethical
Honestly, I think Comey never thought the FISA warrants or his investigation would ever be looked into.
That was made very apparent when Comey appeared with Bret Baier when he was doing his book tour.
Comey lied about knowing the DNC and Hillary Clinton paid for the dossier and he lied about how the Steele dossier was used.
When Brett Baier asked Comey why this was used as a central part of the FISA warrant when Comey himself had debunked the dossier, Comey stated, “That’s not my recollection, Bret. And I don’t know that the FISA application has been released.
“My recollection was it was part of a broader mosaic of facts that were laid before the FISA judge to obtain a FISA warrant.”
If there is one absolute in the IG report, it is that the Steele dossier was needed for the FISA warrants because without the information the dossier alleged, the FBI did not have enough to secure a warrant.
For someone that has been on a morality and ethical kick, he sure does need to take a good look in the mirror.

Gowdy held nothing back on Comey when the report came out.
If you recall, Gowdy blasted Comey when his book came out because he had read the FISA warrants and knew exactly what was in them.
Now that all of America has seen the IG report and knows the truth, Gowdy stated, “I don’t know what report Comey read.
“This is the third IG report that has found his conduct to be substandard … if he wants to take a victory lap because he not indicted, more power to him.”
On the wrongs done to Carter Page, Gowdy stated, “I mean, keep in mind, a counterintelligence investigation is because you think Carter Page is working on behalf of Russia.
“The reality is Carter Page, who is working on behalf of the United States of America and you changed it from … he is a [CIA] source [to] he’s not a source, which is a manifestly unfair thing to do to Carter Page.
“So, when Horowitz says there was no bias in the inception … There was a lot of bias from every point thereafter, including an FBI lawyer manufacturing evidence to get a surveillance warrant against an American citizen.”

Gowdy should have given one more piece of advice to James Comey.
The former FBI Director should be looking for attorneys right now because if our current Justice Department has an ounce of integrity, Comey will be standing in front of a judge pleading his case very soon.
