Over the last two days, we have seen enormous support on both sides of the aisle supporting the removal of Trump from office.
Even so, Trump aides have confirmed that if they want Trump out of office, they are going to have to kick him out because he has no intentions of resigning.
Rough Two Weeks
Pelosi and Schumer have been hoping to convince Vice President Pence to enlist Cabinet members to remove Trump via the 25th Amendment.
If that does not work, and it seems unlikely, Pelosi and company have every intention of pushing through an impeachment before Trump leaves office.
With the growing number of Republicans supporting Trump’s removal, this is not as crazy as it once sounded.
When a senior Trump official was asked about the chances of Trump resigning, the answer was short and direct… “ZERO.”
I would fully expect Trump to try to stay out of the line of fire over this last week-plus in office.
The last thing he wants to do is set off another trigger that would give Democrats more support on this front than they already have.
