Trump Announces ICE Raids Set to Go

Several weeks ago, President Trump called off scheduled ICE raids meant to deport illegals that had been ordered out of the country by federal judges.

He gave the Democrats the added time to work on immigration legislation, but there has been absolutely no movement since that day, just as we predicted.

On Friday, Trump stated the raids will commence “fairly soon” since Democrats have failed to live up to their part of the bargain.

Ramping Back Up

Many conservatives were beside themselves, myself included, when Trump ordered the raids to be canceled.

It just didn’t make much sense considering Democrats had done nothing to that point to show they would come to the table in good faith.

Trump, after hearing pushback from his supporters, also stated it may all be for naught, but he at least wanted to give Democrats one more chance to do the right thing.

Well, they failed, and now the raids are back on.

Trump stated, “They’ll be starting fairly soon, but I don’t call them raids, we’re removing people, all of these people who have come in over the years illegally.”

Get Ready for Battle

Another reason the raids were believed to have been called off is that details of the raids were leaked out.

That leak gave pro-illegal immigration advocates the warning they needed to ready themselves for the ICE raids.

Those groups and individuals have remained at the ready, hoping to help illegals allude capture from ICE when the raids eventually do happen.

Elsa Lopez, who works as an organizer for Somos Un Pueblo Unido, stated, “We have to be ready, not just when Trump announces it, because there are arrests every day.”

Her group and others like it are dedicated to educating immigrants on their civil rights as well as creating phone networks to warn illegals when ICE is in their neighborhoods.

The education part of her organization is fine, but to help illegals evade capture is against the law and should be treated as such.

Democrats and liberals love to talk about the rule of law, but they are more than ready to break it when it comes to helping out people that are in this country illegally.

In my humble opinion, ICE should not only be rounding up these illegals, but there should be additional agents available to arrest anyone getting in their way or that is found to have helped these illegals avoid capture in any way, shape, or form.
