Trump Campaign Reveals Biggest Obstacle for 2020… and It’s NOT the Democrats

Is the Trump campaign worried about Biden, Sanders, or Harris?

Oddly enough, none of those candidates are at the top of the “problem” chart for the campaign.

What is at the top, however, is the mainstream media.

Negative Stories

There was a report last year looking into the administration’s media coverage that proved the media was against Trump.

Other than Fox News, the majority of the stories about the administration were negative coverage.

While they still covered what were deemed to be positive stories, there would usually only be one report and it would get buried on a sidebar, barely getting circulated.

Stories that were deemed positive were also rarely posted on media social media platforms.

Negative stories, or at least what liberals would consider being negative, were covered much differently.

These stories were not only headline stories, but there would also be multiple angles taken to produce several articles on the same subject.

Additionally, the networks would devote entire days, if not a full week, in the news cycle working that angle.

The numbers were actually shockingly biased, far worse than anyone every would have thought.

The final number given by the Media Research Center was that 92 percent of the coverage for Trump was negative.

Overcoming the Media

The Trump campaign believes they have a solid message and all things considered, Trump has done about as much as he can with a Congress that is against him and his agenda.

This was the case even when Republicans had the House, as Paul Ryan simply refused to bring legislation to the floor.

Tim Murtaugh, who is the campaign’s Director of Communications, stated, “People always ask, ‘what’s your biggest challenge, what’s your biggest obstacle?’

“And Kayleigh always says, ‘the media.’

“The media is our biggest challenge.”

Kayleigh is Kayleigh McEnany, the National Press Secretary.

The campaign feels as though it is battling the media rather than allowing the media to report stories, with Murtaugh stating that as least one outlet is treated more like an adversary.

While the media does its best to tear down Trump, it treats the Democrats completely different.

They cited one instance where a member of the media actually helped Kamala Harris pick out a coat to wear during an event so she would look better.

More recently, the Trump campaign pointed to Jim Acosta from CNN cherry-picking a few words from Trump’s immigration speech, taking the words totally out of context to make him look bad.

The campaign is now fighting instances such as this with real-time responses to prove how jaded the media is…

In that instance, Acosta painted Trump as calling ALL asylum seekers as “frivolous” and “meritless,” when that was clearly not the case.

Acosta tried to defend himself, but Trump supporters took over from there and bashed him relentlessly for being so misleading.

That is the problem with today’s media, though.

Quotes are cherry-picked and made to suit a very specific narrative rather than actually reporting the truth.

Trump has only one network that refrains from that and even in the case of Fox News, the liberals working there, like Wallace, Williams, and Smith, do everything they can to put a negative light around Trump.

It will be an uphill battle, just as it was in 2016, as voters will have to once again seek out the truth rather than have it fall right in their lap with a nightly broadcast.

Social Media is limiting conservative voices and the news stories we get from most mainstream outlets are tainted, which means it is up to us so spread the actual truth and get the facts out to Americans so we can give Trump four more years to finish what he started.
