Trump Declines Minnesota Governor’s Request for $500 million

When your kids break something at the store, you have to pay for it, that is just the way things work.

In Minnesota, however, they seem to think they can let the kids run free, then after hurling insults and allegations at the President, he will come and bail them out.

Democrat Minnesota Governor Tim Walz just learned a very hard lesson about accountability and he is none too happy about it.

City and State Out of Control

After the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, protests turned to riots and those riots quickly took over control of the city and surrounding areas.

In Minneapolis, the mayor literally abandoned a police district, ordering police to leave the building and the general area.

This madness continued for days, with rioters having control of the city.

I don’t know how things usually work in Minneapolis but in every other part of the country, when you abandon law and order, your city gets ripped to shreds.

When the dust settled, more than 1,500 buildings were damaged and it was estimated that more than $500 million in damage occurred.

Now, Governor Walz wants taxpayers from around the country to foot the bill for the repairs, but President Trump told him “no.”

Trump Denies Federal Aid Request

Walz applied for a federal disaster declaration so he could tap into federal funds to help rebuild the parts of his state that were destroyed from the riots.

After brief consideration, he was very politely told to go pound sand.

The FEMA response to his request was, “After a thorough review of Minnesota’s request for a major disaster declaration from extensive fire damage as a result of civil unrest in late May and early June, it was determined that the impact to public infrastructure is within the capabilities of the local and state governments to recover from.

“The governor has 30 days to appeal that decision.”

Walz was obviously “disappointed” in the decision, but that same decision drew widespread applause among conservatives and elected Republicans.

Democrats need to be taught a lesson and this should go a long way to getting their attention.

There is a price for promoting chaos and anarchy, and now they are going to pay it.
