Trump enemy Michael Avenatti to be Charged with Extortion

Oh, how the worm has turned in the last 72 hours.

Stormy Daniels former attorney and once Democrat presidential hopeful, Michael Avenatti is reportedly being charged with trying to extort between $15-$25 million from Nike.

Legal Problems for Avenatti

Avenatti apparently poked the wrong bear.

He has been a thorn in the side of Donald Trump for more than two years.

Now it appears as though Karma is finally catching up with the ambulance chaser.

Avenatti was taken into custody on Monday for trying to extort money from the sports apparel giant.

According to the filing, he did so “by threatening to use his ability to garner publicity to inflict substantial financial and reputational harm on the company if his demands were not met.”

Local authorities are said to be scheduling a press conference later today to clarify their case.

This all no doubt stems for a tweet Avenatti had sent out earlier on Monday, threatening to expose a major high school/college basketball scandal involving Nike.

Gives Lawyers a Bad Name

Avenatti is exactly the type of person that comes to mind when you think of all those lawyer jokes.

He is at the bottom of the barrel but managed to get his 15 minutes and then some by latching on to porn star Stormy Daniels.

Daniels has become nothing more than an asterisk in Trump’s presidency, so Avenatti apparently moved on to his next target.

In addition to trying to take down Nike, Avenatti is representing parents whose children were allegedly separated from them when they entered the country illegally.

He has also latched on to several women who claim they were sexually abused by R. Kelly.

Avenatti is a troll on many different levels and finally, he is about to get what has been a long time coming.
