Trump Finally Pushes Back Against Impeachment

There has been significant speculation as to what Trump is trying to do with Congress.

Does he want to force their hand to impeach him or is he trying to force them back to the bargaining table?

On Monday, Trump finally gave everyone a peek into his plan by slamming the Dems for their continued cries for impeachment as well as the fact Congress is at a complete standstill while these investigations are going on…

The 2020 Election Narrative

Even though Democrats have had the House for almost five months now, they have little to claim for it.

When they do actually pass legislation, it is often message legislation for the President or Senator Mitch McConnell.

The other legislation being passed is so partisan it has no shot of even being entertained in the Senate right now.

It all looks great on paper, but they are actually accomplishing nothing.

The most productive thing they have done is open a slew of investigations against Trump.

This should not exactly be a surprise, as several House Democrats actually ran in 2018 on an agenda of impeaching Trump.

The most notable of these is Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich) who, on election day, famously proclaimed, “We’re going to impeach this Mother F***er.”

She has continued to lead the movement in Congress and has impeachment papers at the ready, just waiting for Speaker Pelosi to allow her to bring them onto the floor for a vote.

This is the same narrative far too many Democrats in office today are also spewing.

While all of this is going on, of course, we sit back and watch our government continue to spend too much money, continue to allow illegal immigrants into the country, and see very little in terms of helping actual Americans.

When Does It End?

At some point, Democrats have to move forward on legislation or impeachment.

Trump wants to sit down and talk infrastructure, but he balked on the day of a scheduled meeting because Nancy Pelosi accused him of being involved in a cover-up.

Would it really hurt her to dial down the rhetoric to enable these talks to move forward?

Some in the media believe Pelosi does not really want infrastructure to move forward, which is why she accused Trump of a cover-up.

She simply does not want Trump to get any credit for anything positive happening in this country.

I happen to think Trump was forcing Pelosi into a corner, daring her to either impeach him or walk away from the narrative altogether.

Either way, I think he wins.

Impeachment is political suicide for Pelosi because she knows she cannot get it to pass through Congress, something Tlaib does not seem to be able to comprehend.

Even though Pelosi knows she can’t win, however, she is continuing the impeachment rhetoric.

For some reason, the mainstream media has yet to call her on out on it and force her to make a call one way or the other.

If, on the other hand, Trump gets Pelosi to dial down the rhetoric and come back to the table, he wins as well.

By giving up on the narrative, Pelosi is admitting the Dems have nothing on him and she was involved in political theater to make him look bad.

Like I said… either way, Trump wins.
