Trump Impeachment Defense Team Reveals Part of Its Strategy

With Trump not willing to testify during his impeachment, many thought his defense team would keep things pretty low-profile knowing the chances of the impeachment passing were very slim.

Based on statements made by Trump’s defense team, the complete opposite is true.

Let’s Poke the Bear

If you read SPN regularly, you know I have been calling out actions by the Democrats over the last four years for playing a part in the outrage in this country, including the Capitol riot.

People did not get to that point on their own, as they have been poked by Democrats for years on key issues.

Part of that “poking” has been people like Rep. Waters (D-CA) telling her supporters to get into the face of Trump cabinet members.

Or, how about Kamala Harris telling everyone that was watching that people need to feel uncomfortable and the unrest should not be stopped.

We can even look at comments made by Pelosi, who also seemed to encourage ongoing rioting around the country.

Trump’s defense team has apparently been looking at these videos and we can now expect part of Trump’s defense to be to nationally expose these comments.

Lead attorney Bruce Castor stated, “I’ve been looking at a lot of video over the past couple of days.

“You better be careful what you wish for.”

This is kind of a big deal because you know every liberal in this country that thinks Democrats are innocent in all of this will be watching the impeachment.

Their usual networks don’t cover negative stories on Democrats, so this may be the first time some of those people have even heard Maxine Waters’ comments about Trump officials.

Unless these networks cut out from coverage from this part of the trial, it could be a very rude awakening for some of the more moderate members of the left that had no idea what their party has been up to for the last four years.

Now, I know it will not change a lot of minds, but it may change just enough to give the GOP control of the House and Senate again come 2022, and that is all we really need.
