Donald Trump made a statement on Sunday that will get the attention of everyone in this country.
When asked directly if he thought Obama was working against him during the 2016 election, Trump stated, “I would say that he certainly must have known about it because it went very high up in the chain.”
The Deep State Coup
Know going into this, I am not a conspiracy theorist at all.
Actually, I generally dismiss stories that take that tack because they are usually what someone wants to believe rather than what the facts tell us.
I don’t take the use of the words “deep state” or “coup” very lightly, and neither should you.
Having said that, after all that we have seen over the last three years, there is simply no denying the fact something was amiss in 2016, specifically at the highest levels of our intelligence agencies.
I have several friends that work or worked for the FBI at some point and every one of them is disgusted by what is going on with the agency right now.
When we look at the facts, there is absolutely no denying the fact rules, at the very least, were bent during the early stages of the Russia probe.
When it comes to the FISA warrants that were issued, they may have been done so illegally due to the Steele dossier.
These are facts we hope will come out in the wash during the investigation being undertaken by U.S. Attorney Durham.
If this man is as honest and hard-nosed as they say, I have every confidence he will reveal that something definitely smelled a little funny when Comey was in charge.
Did Obama Know?
Taking all of that into consideration, is there really any chance that Obama had been totally shielded from these efforts to derail Trump?
Obama was known for having his hand in pots and taking detailed meetings with his departments, so as Trump stated, it is very likely Obama knew something about what was going on…

We have to remember that Obama emphasized that Hillary was going to be an extension of his presidency and was going to protect his legacy.
Obama also knew that Trump wanted to take virtually everything meaningful to him and put it right in the shredder.
So, if Comey wanted to bend the rules within reason, why not let him take a shot, right?
The way things work in our political and justice systems these days, however, we may never truly get the total picture.
Regardless, it is very hard to believe with everything that was at stake, IF something hinky was going on, Obama was not well aware of the undertaking.
