Trump Knocks It Out of the Park with Inspiring Memorial Day Speech

If you were too busy BBQing or still out at church (assuming you were not arrested for going), you may have missed President Trump’s Memorial Day speech.

For anyone looking for inspiration or an uplifting message to give you a little extra something to push through this pandemic, he surely provided it.

Inspiring Words

President Trump rarely acts like a politician and he surely does not deliver a speech like one.

However, when he gets into a groove, even liberal pundits have to agree the man just moves people.

No matter what liberals say, there is no doubting the fact this man loves this country, and all that emotion and dedication came out on Memorial Day, a day capable of even making Donald J. Trump feel somber.

COVID-19 has hurt our country, but we are still not down for the count, and if Trump has his way, we will come roaring back.

While this battle is not a military battle, it is still a war, something Trump used as inspiration for his words as we both remember and celebrate our fallen warriors.

Trump stated, “Together, we will vanquish the virus, and America will rise from this crisis to new, and even greater heights.

“As our brave warriors have shown us from the nation’s earliest days – in America, we are the captains of our own fate.

“No obstacle, no challenge, and no threat is a match for the sheer determination of the American people.

“This towering spirit permeates every inch of the hallowed soil beneath our feet.”

The Resistance

Today is a day that most people expect their president to make his presence known, to visit our memorials, and to be present for the people.

Still, Democrats tried to not only deter Trump from doing this but to also shame him.

Baltimore Mayor Bernard Young stated, “I wish that the president, as our nation’s leader, would set a positive example and not travel during this holiday weekend.

“That President Trump is deciding to pursue nonessential travel sends the wrong message to our residents, many of whom have been disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 virus.”

The White House immediately struck back, stating. “The brave men and women who have preserved our freedoms for generations did not stay home and the president will not either as he honors their sacrifice by visiting such a historic landmark in our nation’s history.”

That exchange and Trump’s words today pretty much sum up the difference between today’s liberal and conservative movements.

Liberals want to stay inside and hide out of pure fear of something bad happening to them.

Conservatives are looking to fight this virus on its own ground, even if that means losing their own lives so the country can regain its greatness.

Happy Memorial Day, everyone. And, at some point during today’s BBQ, if you have not already, take a quick moment, pour out a few drops of your beer, and remember those that have paid the greatest price there is to pay for our freedom.
