While many of the powers that be want Trump gone from the party for good, that simply is not going to happen.
Reports are now breaking that Trump will be invited to speak at the spring RNC event.
The event itself is expected to be held in the Palm Beach area, although Mar-a-Lago is not expected to play host to the event.
Members Still Want Trump
Power brokers in the party may not want Trump around any longer, but the financiers of the party clearly do.
Reports stated that after Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel sent out an email about the upcoming event, most respondents were upset about the riot at the Capitol, but they also warned the party against the dangers of shutting Trump out of the party altogether.
As I have stated many times, without Trump and his supporters, the Republican party will find itself in dire straits come election day 2022 and 2024.
In addition to Trump, other top contenders to run in 2024 will also be invited, as the party is trying to maintain a neutral front in regard to which candidates it will support in the next presidential election.
Trump’s future role will more than likely not be decided until after the impeachment proceedings are over and he can get a better idea of the public sentiment toward him post-impeachment.
