Trump Sending Thousands of Troops to Middle East Amid Threats of Retaliation

Donald Trump is making it very clear that he is NOT Barack Obama and he is NOT Hillary Clinton.

Trump recently carried out two attacks in response to a strike that killed a U.S. contractor.

Now he is sending 3,000 more troops to the Middle East to ensure Iran does not get any ideas about carrying out attacks against our interests in the area.

Shoring Up Our Defense

Only hours ago, Defense officials confirmed the troops that will be sent over to the Middle East for this mission.

According to the report, all troops will be sent from Fort Bragg in North Carolina and are part of the 82nd Airborne Division.

These troops are in addition to the 700 troops that were sent to deal with the threat against our embassy.

Preventive Measures

The airstrikes that were carried out last week already had Iran’s back up.

Iranian leadership was threating another attack, so Trump sent them a nice warning shot in the form of a strategic strike against Iran’s top military leader, General Soleimani.

Soleimani was the commander of the elite Quds Force, an organization that has been designated as terrorists.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo stated that Soleimani had planned an “imminent attack,” so taking him out was justified, contrary to what Democrats are saying.

Even though Soleimani was reportedly responsible for roughly 17 percent of our troops lost in this conflict, Democrats would seemingly have preferred to leave Soleimani walking this earth.

After Soleimani’s death, Iranian leadership once again promised to retaliate, which surely was the inspiration behind sending more troops back to the Middle East.

President Trump has been adamant he does not want a war to break out, but he will not allow the United States to be pushed around.

His response to the initial attack and the attack against our embassy is significantly different than how Benghazi was handled by Hillary and Obama.

Clearly, Trump is not willing to allow this back-and-forth to go on and he would rather be the aggressor to deter Iran from getting any ideas about carrying out more attacks.

When intelligence reports stated Iran was planning more attacks against U.S. interests back in May 2019, Trump sent 14,000 troops to the Middle East, so this latest move will place almost 20,000 additional forces in-country compared to last spring.

U.S. citizens in the area have also been warned to leave the country as soon as possible to avoid retaliatory violence.
