Trump Sends Aircraft Carrier and ‘Other’ Resources to Iran in Anticipation of Attack

Tensions are heating up in the Middle East and President Trump is going on the offensive.

Several reports have stated the administration has authorized the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group to Iran after “clear indications” of a pending attack were given by Iranian and Iranian proxy forces.

Troubling Signs

White House National Security Adviser John Bolton stated there were “a number of troubling and escalatory indications and warnings.”

While he did not go into detail, he did confirm the carrier group and a bomber strike force had been dispatched.

Bolton further stated this is a move being done to deter Iran, not start an actual conflict.

The National Security Adviser stated, “The United States is not seeking war with the Iranian regime, but we are fully prepared to respond to any attack, whether by proxy, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or regular Iranian forces.”

The Pentagon has yet to release a statement and has made no comment on Bolton’s statement.

Show of Force

Currently, the United States has no carrier patrolling the Persian Gulf, which is where some experts are predicting this carrier group is headed.

Based on the intel they have received, it is imperative a show of force be made present to deter the Iranians from getting a little itchy on that trigger.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who was on his way to Europe, stated, “It is absolutely the case that we have seen escalatory actions from the Iranians and it is equally the case that we will hold the Iranians accountable for attacks on American interests.

“If these actions take place, if they do by some third-party proxy, a militia group, Hezbollah, we will hold the Iranian leadership directly responsible for that.”

Pompeo was asked to expand on the actions being taken by the Iranians.

He stated, “I don’t want to talk about what underlays it, but make no mistake, we have good reason to want to communicate clearly about how the Iranians should understand how we will respond to actions they may take.”

It is only natural to wonder just how much of the billions freed up and sent to Iran by the Obama administration is being used to fund this activity.

Could Barack Obama have literally funded the country’s ability to attack the United States?

If an attack or all-out war breaks out, that will be the question that will blow up the news cycle.
