Earlier this week, President Trump addressed the future of the conservative movement at a Turning Point USA event in Washington, D.C.
Trump told the conservative teenagers he believes Rep. Tlaib (D-Mich) is a “crazed lunatic.”
What Will They Call Him Now?
The comments by Trump are sure to add more fuel to the fire on the claim that he is racist.
However, the comments made by Trump about Tlaib were merely brutal honesty, as were his comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar.
Trump stated, “There’s no way she stands for the values of the people of Michigan.
“She’s vicious.
“She’s like a crazed lunatic.
“I believe they hate our country.
“This is representing us?
“This is not what we want representing us, I don’t think, and I think it’s why we’re going to have a tremendous victory in 2020.
“These people are crazy.”
Trump’s statements were backed up by a video that resurfaced from the 2016 presidential campaign.
In the video, Tlaib is seen ranting while the Secret Service escort her out of a fundraiser for Trump (you can read that story here).
The Squad
Trump, of course, used the opportunity to take a few shots at Tlaib’s fellow Squad members as well, particularly Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.)
Trump stated that AOC had called America “garbage,” which he deemed to be far worse than Hillary’s “deplorables” comment.
Honestly, I cannot recall a time in our government when we had so many elected representatives that were so completely anti-America and anti-American in the rhetoric they speak.
