Tulsi Gabbard Lands Crushing Blow Against Kamala Harris During Dem Debate

Kamala Harris has made Joe Biden her number one target, but several of the other candidates in the field are looking to take her out.

Leading the way is Tulsi Gabbard, who blasted Harris on some of the more questionable aspects of her record as the Attorney General in California.

First Blood

Since the last debate, Kamala Harris has had an arrogance about her that was begging for someone to take her out at the knees.

She has, for the most part, avoided being targeted simply because of the repercussions for doing so.

If Cory Booker attacks her, he is attacking a fellow minority.

If Joe Biden attacks her, he is a racist.

For Tulsi Gabbard, though, a hard-hitting attack offers a chance to gain some ground on one of the leading women in the race.

Gabbard stated, “Sen. Harris says she’s proud of her record as a prosecutor and that she’ll be a prosecutor president, but I’m deeply concerned about this record.”

“There are too many examples to cite but she put over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations and then laughed about it when she was asked if she ever smoked marijuana.”

The worst blow, however, came when Gabbard hinted Harris was using slave labor in the form of prisoners.

Gabbard stated that Harris was keeping prisoners incarcerated well past their sentence in order to provide “cheap labor” for the state of California.

Harris’ reply was weak at best, not actually defending herself against a single accusation made by Gabbard.

Harris stated, “As elected attorney general of California, I did the work of significantly reforming the criminal justice system of a state of 40 million people — which became a national model for the work that needs to be done.”

Gabbard immediately fired back, “The bottom line is, Senator Harris, when you were in a position to make a difference and impact in these people’s lives, you did not.”

Gabbard has exposed Harris and there is clearly blood in the water.

While Harris made significant progress after the first debate, she will more than likely take a few steps back after this one.

She clearly is not going away anytime soon, but Gabbard significantly hurt Harris’ chances of winning the primary, of that I have no doubt.
