As much smack as Chris Cuomo talks, you would think he would be able to take a little ribbing.
However, when a Trump supporter decided to poke the bear, Cuomo just about lost his mind and threatened to throw the man down a flight of steps.
Hey Fredo!
The Trump supporter was clearly trying to get under Cuomo’s skin after he spotted him.
Cuomo, who is of Italian heritage, absolutely freaked out when the man called him “Fredo.”
This was an obvious reference to the character in the “The Godfather,” who is the much weaker brother of Michael Corleone.
Cuomo went way over the line, though, stating, “Only punk **s bitches from the right call me Fredo.
“Fredo is from ‘The Godfather.’
“He was a weak brother.
“And they use it as an Italian aspersion.
“Any of you Italian? It’s a f***ing insult to the people. … It’s like the N-word for us.”

Now, here is where it is very important to note that one of Cuomo’s panel members once referred to Donald Trump, Jr. as Fredo on Cuomo’s show, to no rebuke.
The Response
Responses varied over the incident, from backing the journalist to mocking him even more.
CNN is apparently sticking up for Cuomo, with a spokesperson stating, “Chris Cuomo defended himself when he was verbally attacked with the use of an ethnic slur in an orchestrated setup.
“We completely support him.”
Now, just because Cuomo says it is an ethnic slur, does not make it one.
I would hardly equate “Fredo” to the “N” word.
It is absolutely an insult, but it was surely nothing to lose his mind over.
Furthermore, with his response, you better believe people will be looking for him in public to set him off again.
Sean Hannity from Fox News also stuck for Cuomo, tweeting, “I say good for @ChrisCuomo.
“He’s out with his 9 year old daughter, and his wife, and this guy is being a jackass in front of his family.
“Imho Chris Cuomo has zero to apologize for. He deserves the apology.”
Personally, I think Cuomo should have just dismissed it and walked away.
Liberals have been getting in the face of conservative personalities in public since Trump got elected.
While the dig on Cuomo may have been staged to catch him on video, the response by Cuomo was way over the top, with Cuomo clearly looking to villainize Trump supporters and conservatives.
President Trump, never one to miss a good opportunity to take a dig at a liberal, also chimed in, tweeting out, “I thought Chris was Fredo also. The truth hurts.
“Totally lost it! Low ratings @CNN.
“Would Chris Cuomo be given a Red Flag for his recent rant?
“Filthy language and a total loss of control. He shouldn’t be allowed to have any weapon. He’s nuts!”
There is little doubt the left will use Trump’s tweet to attack him for making light of red flag laws so soon after the mass shootings, but that is to be expected.
