[VIDEO] ICYMI: Joe Biden Calls KKK Affiliated Group ‘Very Fine People’

During the Charlottesville riots, President Trump stated there were “very fine people” on both sides of the riot that had nothing at all to do with the violence or racist attacks we saw that day.

Contrary to popular belief and in direct conflict with what Joe Biden has been saying, Trump NEVER referred to the neo-Nazis as very fine people.

In fact, in that same quote, Trump actually called them out for the despicable human beings they are.

The same, however, cannot be said for Joe Biden.

Supporting KKK Affiliated Groups

In 1993, when Joe Biden was in the Senate, he offered open support for the United Daughters of the Confederacy.

In fact, he said the organization was “made up of very fine people who continue to display the Confederate flag as a symbol…”

I don’t want anyone to think I am putting words in Joe Biden’s mouth, so here is the clip of him saying those exact words…

The organization to which Biden was referring in that speech was the aforementioned United Daughters of the Confederacy.

United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC)

So, what is this group of southern women that Biden holds so dear to his heart?

The UDC was established in 1894 in Tennessee and works to continue to allow memorials to remain erected of Confederate soldiers.

The group has also been regularly associated with white supremacy groups, including the KKK.

In Facing South, author Greg Huffman wrote, “perhaps nothing illuminates the UDC’s true nature more than its relationship with the Ku Klux Klan.

“Many commentators have said the UDC simply supported the Klan. That is not true.

“The UDC during Jim Crow venerated the Klan and elevated it to a nearly mythical status.

“It dealt in and preserved Klan artifacts and symbology.

“It even served as a sort of public relations agency for the terrorist group.”

The UDC Today

Today, the UDC openly states on its website that it is against any group promoting hatred between races, but one cannot simply overlook the history of the organization.

Even if the group is as it says today, how can Biden justify his comments in 1993 about an organization with clear ties to the glorification of the KKK?

By today’s standard, glorifying anything at all to do with the Confederacy is racist, yet there is Joe Biden, calling them “very fine people.”

So, Joe, how do you explain this?
