[Video] NYPD Attacked While Making Harlem Arrest

The level of disrespect for our police officers has officially hit an all-time high.

Two police officers were in the process of making an arrest and questioning witnesses in Harlem when they were doused with water by onlookers…

Reprehensible

The criticism and backlash over the incident were immediate.

Several lawmakers, including President Trump, were extremely critical of Mayor Bill de Blasio for allowing the level of disrespect for officers to even get to this level.

The video that you saw above was actually rather tame.

There are other videos circulating of the officers being hit with buckets and other objects while they were in the process of making the arrest.

NYPD Police Chief Terence Monahan sent out a tweet about the incident.

He stated, “The videos of cops being doused with water and having objects hurled at them as they made an arrest in #Harlem is reprehensible.”

The New York City Police Benevolent Association also chimed in with a tweet…

While Mayor de Blasio also called the incident “unacceptable,” it is his rhetoric and policies along with those of his party that created this situation in the first place.

Afraid to Act

We have reached a stage in this country where our police officers are actually afraid to protect themselves for fear of being put in jail themselves.

The animus and hatred towards police officers due to Democrat rhetoric has emboldened individuals to literally attack and confront officers knowing there is little chance they will ever be held accountable.

I saw a tweet the other day of two transit officers being confronted by a man on the subway, with him repeatedly telling the officers to “suck my d**k.”

They did nothing, just as the officers doused with water and hit with buckets and other objects did nothing.

PBA President Jack Lynch stated it perfectly:

“Our anti-cop lawmakers have gotten their wish: the NYPD is now frozen.”

He added, “The end result of the torrent of bad policies and anti-police rhetoric that has been streaming out of City Hall and Albany for years now.

“We are approaching the point of no return.”
